Cricket is by far one of St. Lucia’s leading spectator sports. St. Lucia is usually host to a one-day international cricket game at its Beausejour state of the art cricket grounds, located in Gros Islet. Most St. Lucian cricket fans are West Indies [team] loyalist and take the game very seriously, others, use the event as and opportunity for a partying and entertainment.
Saint Lucia Jazz & Arts Festival - Newly renamed as the Saint Lucia Jazz and Arts Festival, the Caribbean’s premier cultural event is expected to attract thousands to the iconic and historic Pigeon Island National Landmark, where the 13 day festival will culminate. The Festival takes center stage at scenic vistas across the island showcasing a new infusion of arts, scores of artisans and entertainers. A series of concerts that bring together fusing elements of jazz, rhythm and blues, pop and world rhythms from some of the world’s greatest artists in the music industry. The main concerts include Jazz on the Square, Tea Time Jazz, Jazz in the South, Jazz at Pigeon Point National Park, among other events.

Carnival stands out as one of the major festivals in St. Lucia. A highly traditional event, Carnival festivities usually includes competitions and performances by masquerade (Mas) bands, calypso and soca singers, steel bands and beauty contestants.
The highlight of the celebration usually takes place during the second week in July beginning on the weekend and ending on Tuesday (Monday and Tuesday are public holidays).
The largest transocean sailing event in the world, every year the ARC brings together over 200 yachtsfrom all over the world. The 2700 nautical mile passage on the NE tradewind route takes on average between 14 and 21 days ending in Rodney Bay in Saint Lucia.
